What can we expect from the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in an attempt to bridge the gap between elected representatives and civil society? Would it only be a gadget to overcome a deep gap? Maybe.
Some national, regional or local authorities attempt to do so .The challenge is perhaps most important in a multicultural, multilingual context of associations with various vocations.
Why not to try and measure the impact?
Before coming to the use of tools discussions (forum, wiki, plenary sessions)
it would be wise to facilitate comparisons according to their area of interest.
In this connection, the European Parliament and other institutions (EESC Group III, Commission)
could create meeting points on the Internet. These areas would enable civil
society partners to get to know each other, to draw transnational links around
a particular project, in short to structure a world so far evanescent but
extremely dynamic. The truth of the matter is that civil society is more
attractive than political parties. To overcome the handicap ,linguistic tools
such as “aided translation”
(admittedly still not completely reliable) should be offered pending the development
of proper tools asked e elseewhere .
After all, the meeting sites for a potential marriage (as Meetic) have a large audience. Other social
networks such as FaceBook in the student world, LinkedIn in the professional sphere are
experiencing a considerable success. SINAPSE
(R and D domain) offers similar possibilities.

Online social networks
and meeting platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Meetic are currently
developing at a frantic pace. These companies have been reporting two or
three-digit growth rates and most of them have launched intensive acquisition
campaigns in the last two years or are now being targeted by major media
groups. The sector is beginning to structure itself around some key players,
which have succeeded in becoming the reference platform within their field, as
the result of their innovations and positioning.

« On peut, à la suite d’Alex Iskold croire en l’essor de l’information
hyperlocale, parce qu’elle devrait rencontrer à la fois
l’intérêt des gens et les désirs des publicitaires. Mais ce sont là, surtout
pour le premier, deux arguments d’autorité, dont on ne connaît pas la réalité. »

Le Projet Experience,

autour du concept d’une socialisation en ligne qui resterait anonyme. Le réseau

derniers mois, nous explique Josh Catone de Read/Write Web.
