OpenParl and FaceBook social network ? No OpenCongress, but not European Parliament
Have a look on the OpenCongress’s tools which allow everybody to watch the legislative process and to insert in their own websites the relevant information to do it.
Have a look on the FaceBook social network linked to OpenCongress to try to build communities around a legislative process:
- OpenCongress Facebook Application
- "Congress, I'm Watching" Widget
- Congress Trends Widget
- Bill Status Widget
- Issue Area Widget

On 2007-12-16, David Moore from OpenCongress (an
open-source, non-profit, non-partisan website) wrote :
”We're excited to announce the release of our new OpenCongress Facebook
application. Now you can track and share the bills you care about about with
your Facebook community.
The app lets you post bills to your profile, show your support or opposition,
and comment on why they're important to you. And of course, each bill links
back to OpenCongress, so your friends can get all the info they need in order
to get involved with the issues themselves.

One last thing: we're seeking beta-testers for a major set of new features
getting ready to launch. If you'd like to volunteer to help us beta-test, just
reply to this e-mail address ([email protected]).
Hope you'll use our new Facebook app to help build public knowledge about
Congress!
Thanks,
David & the OpenCongress team”

Want to blog on GovTrack? I want to get some nonpartisan, thoughtful
analysis of legislative issues posted on the front
page of GovTrack, which is viewed by ~1,000 people each day. If you're
interested, drop me a note by emailing me at the address at the bottom of the
page.
