The Library of Congress, the famous "LOC", has released a report on
his experience to disseminate its iconographic funds on Flickr. The record is
quite positive: the 3000 photos of departure generated in 9 months over 10
million connections, 7166 comments and over 67,000 tags. 79% of the pictures
were selected as favorites by users of Flickr.
What seems interesting is that there has been a good interaction
between the LOC and Flickr (site for sharing photos)
The CC licenses (see http://creativecommons.org
) proposed by Flickr not suitable for most photos, there was a joint effort to
reach a new license, “No restrictions copyright known” ...
When will appear a similar initiative with Flickr on
EU websites?
