Digital Divide and Web 2.0 collide”
“Internet has expanded the opportunity … to contribute to the digital
public sphere … But some cultural and material factors are more significant for
the production of online content than they are for consumption… Rather than
democratizing the media, it is perpetuating the mainstream media’s dominance of
elite voices… Getting online does not automatically lead to content production…
