An introductory workshop to Apertium, a rule-based machine translation system

This is an introductory workshop to Apertium, a rule-based machine translation system. The typical participant is expected to be a professional translator, with or without prior knowledge of machine translation, though the workshop is open to all EU officials. Theoretical presentations will be followed by hands-on practice; the emphasis will be on using Apertium for computer-aided translation. The workshop starts at 14:00 the 2nd May and it ends at 13:00 the 4th May.
